What a camera install includes
- A walk-through first. We look at what you want to see, where people come and go, and where the light is good or bad, then recommend how many cameras you need and where they go.
- Wired cameras. We run network cable to each camera. One cable carries power and video, so there are no batteries to charge and no Wi-Fi dropouts.
- A recorder sized for you. Video records to a recorder on site, with enough storage for the number of days you want to keep.
- Phone viewing set up. We set up the app on your phone, show you how to watch live, play back and save clips, and make sure the passwords are yours.
- A tidy install. Cables run through walls and attics where possible, with weatherproof connections and mounts outside.
Why have an electrician do it
Most camera problems come down to the wiring: a missing outlet, a long cable run, or a camera that goes dark when the power blinks. We handle all of it in one visit. We can add an outlet or a circuit for the recorder, add motion or flood lighting so the cameras see clearly at night, and connect the system to a battery backup or standby generator so it keeps recording during an outage.
Building or renovating?
The best time to plan cameras is before the walls are closed. We can run the cables during rough-in so each camera location is ready, even if you add the cameras later.
